Good afternoon

Many thanks for responding to our www.GIGsoupmusic.com job advert.

To start things off we’d like to get you setup on the main website so that you can post articles. To do this please follow this link - www.gigsoupmusic.com/iump-register/

Next, and this is really important, we need to get you added to the GIGsoup Writers group where we publicise events, news and the all-important style sheet that we need you to follow - If you click here (www.facebook.com/groups/402893879920673) - you’ll be able to join - it’s the engine room for everything we do on the website and is a necessity in order to publish articles etc.

Before we introduce the website to you we’d like to remind you that GIGsoup is a startup company and therefore we are unable to pay a wage at this point. We just want to make that point clear from the off-set as it saves any confusion later down the line.

Now that we’ve cleared up all the points of admin we’d like to take this opportunity to welcome you and explain a little about www.GIGsoupmusic.com and what we do. Basically, we offer our readers a global in-sight into a range of new music that they may not usually stumble across, but at the same time ensuring they’re provided with the latest news and reviews from mainstream artists.

We are looking to increase our team of writers, journalists and music bloggers who can review gigs, festivals, EPs and LPs and write music news articles, interview artists – and maybe even create a few feature articles for the site.

Is this something you feel you could bring to the table?

Album reviews, EP reviews, gig reviews, interview pieces and music news items are what we’re after for the Indie, Rock, Metal, Electronica, Rap, Dance, Blues, R&B, Punk, World, and Folk genres. News items can be anything that you read or hear about and that you feel offers a newsworthy story - something that is engaging (new album news, tour news, new video etc). If you follow bands via social media then this should offer a wealth of possible publication material.

To select an album or EP to review then look at the link below to see what we’re looking for…

If the review is up to our usual standard then we’ll publish this (with your name as the author and within 48 hours). Please don’t be discouraged if the above link contains only a few albums - this is filled up with new releases daily. However, they do go quite quickly so keep your eyes peeled.

If you don’t have your own Deezer, Spotify or Google Play account then we can send watermarked copies of the LP’s you’re interested in reviewing (even if it’s a few weeks before the release date). Also, if you need gig tickets then obviously we can request these as well (they normally come with
a +1 for a friend). The gigs are great as you get to see some amazing new music and all we ask is that you send us a review.

So, just to confirm we need …

1 Gig reviews – we can get you guest list entry for shows, festivals etc
2 Music news articles
3 Album and EP reviews

So, over to you. Post any articles to the site (you’ll see a ‘Write For GIGsoup’ option that allows you to create a logon ID), and we’ll read and edit them. We’ll then have them posted within 48 hours and you can then share them with all your social media friends, followers and family.
Again, many thanks for you contact and hopefully this is the start of a successful writing relationship. Please contact us if you need any help via the GIGsoup Writers Facebook Group - there are loads of people there who can guide you and answer any questions
