Job title: System Administrator
Location: Washington, DC
Duration: Full time

Functional Responsibilities/Duties: Supervises and manages the daily activities of configuration and operation of business systems. Configures, customizes, and integrates commercial-off-the-shelf products to meet the identified business and functional requirements.
Optimizes system operation and resource utilization, and performs system capacity analysis and planning. Evaluate and makes recommendations on configuration management tools and standards.
Implements and maintains configuration plans to ensure system releases meet the end-user requirements. Aids users in accessing and using business systems.

Minimum/General Experience: This position requires a minimum of four years of experience of which at least three years must be specialized in administering computer systems.
General experience includes operations experience on a large-scale computer system or a multi-server local area network.

Specialized experience includes configuration, customization, and integration of COTS products to meet business needs, as well as maintenance of configuration plans.

Minimum Education: A Bachelor's degree in computer science/systems, information systems/technology, engineering/engineering technology, software engineering/programming, management, natural sciences, social sciences, mathematics or business/finance.

Education and experience requirements may be substituted with the following:

A Master's Degree (in subjects described above) and three years general experience of which at least two years must be specialized.
No degree and eight years general experience of which six years is specialized experience.
