Full-time Director of Development - Equal Hope

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree a plus.
At least 5 years of nonprofit fundraising experience preferred with demonstration of increased responsibilities and track record of success, particularly with diverse groups and communities; relevant marketing or business development experience will also be considered
Demonstrated ability to produce and deliver clear, concise, formal and informal oral and written communications
Excellent organizational/project management skills, detail orientation and demonstrated capacity to manage a high volume of work to achieve ambitious goals in a fast-paced setting, and to do so in collaboration with diverse stakeholders
Strong writing skills including excellent presentation, editing and proofreading skills
Proven track record of working with senior level executives and philanthropists
Proficiency in Google and Microsoft products (e.g. Drive, Docs, Word, Sheets, Excel and Powerpoint)
Hands on experience managing donor databases; ability to navigate, run queries and segment lists; familiarity with Salsa CRM or similar databases strongly preferred
Previous experience with nonprofit health care or advocacy organizations a plus

Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends, as necessary
Social media savvy; experience using marketing campaign tools a plus


Responsibilities

Development:

Design, lead and execute a development strategy for Equal Hope, in partnership with the ED and Board
Implement current annual fundraising plan and develop future short- and long-term plans, including quarterly activities and metrics
Set and achieve annual philanthropic revenue targets, including new donor and retention goals, along with cultivation and stewardship goals
Analyze and leverage CRM data and metrics to measure success and guide development strategies and tactics
Prioritize key actions for the ED, board and other senior leaders to take toward cultivating, soliciting and stewarding donors, and prepare and support them as they execute
Work with the Board of Directors by leveraging their resources and networks
Act as staff liaison for the Equal Hope Development Committee
Develop and manage a personal portfolio of current and prospective donors
Grow the individual major gift prospect list and implement a successful major gifts program that includes donor recognition and a system for moving donor relationships forward
Identify new corporate partnership prospects and craft strategies for outreach and engagement, in particular businesses catering to or run/owned by people of color
Manage foundation outreach and identify and cultivate potential foundation partners; manage the foundation proposal and reports calendar to ensure timely delivery; In collaboration with the program staff and ED, deliver high quality, accurate grant proposals and funder reports
Work with the board and ED to establish a planned giving program
