Full-time Assistant Manager Student Services

at MGRM PINNACLE CHARTER SCHOOL in Arizona

1. Develop, establish, and monitor strategies and performance metrics for the Student Services organization in order to achieve expected results in the areas of retention and engagement.

2. Manage the student services team of enrollment, advising and records

3. Answer incoming phone calls to assist parents and students with academic questions including progress reports, positive feedback, grades, and students concerns.

4. Make outgoing phone calls in an attempt to contact parents and students to promote student engagement.

5. Assist in the development of an intervention plan for each student for the purpose of ensuring student’s success in meeting graduation requirements.

6. Utilize performance data from each student to identify individual student needs and develop appropriate intervention and support strategies to increase academic performance.

7. Create practices and procedures that will increase student engagement, retention, academic performance, and a positive learning environment by providing praise, encouragement and reinforcement

8. Assess the students physical, social/emotional and economic needs.

9. Establish a desirable working relationship with parent/guardian to assure constructive parental participation and involvement.

10. Assist with department data entry requirements as necessary.

11. Communicate dropout prevention program news with school’s administration and staff regularly and consult with the department regularly on growth, needs, concerns.

12. Provide or refer student services and resources to meet student needs.

13. Collaborate with student services and other school personnel

14. Develop a comprehensive knowledge of all community agencies and their resources.

Qualification and Experience:

1. Candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree or above
2. Candidate must have previous supervisory experience in an educational setting.
3. Demonstrate excellent written and communication skills.
4. Have experience managing educational programs; including developing and managing work plans, and supervising staff in an online educational setting.
5. Must have experience managing student records and supporting within an online education setting.
6. Must be self-directed; able to work independently and in a team.
7. Highly motivated with excellent verbal and written communication, presentation and problem solving skills.
8. Proficient in using email, managing files, recording and reporting grades electronically, and using computer applications including word processors, spreadsheets, Internet browsers, and web search engines.
