Full-time Prep Cook

at The Vivos Institute in Colorado

The Vivos Institute Prep Cook is responsible for working events held at the institute. They will assist the Catering Chef in preparing food by chopping and washing vegetables and meats and arranging salads, breads, sauces, and dressing. They assist with clean up and maintaining a clean organized spaced.

Duties:
Work the week of events to prep food and prepare for the event
Follow Food Health and Safety Guidelines
Assist the cook in food prep
Ensure food is stored away properly when not in use
Assist in clean up after food prep and meals
Dish washing
Assist in maintaining a full beverage bar
Assist in maintaining a full hot bar
Assist in maintaining a full salad bar
Assist in completing cleaning checklist
All other duties as assigned

Education, Qualifications and Experience
High School Diploma
1+ years of experience working in kitchen
Ability to perform manual labor in kitchen environment
Experience working as a prep cook in a fast-paced environment
Strong multitasking and organizational skills
Good understanding of ingredients, recipes, kitchen safety and hygiene
Excellent communication skills
Familiar with general kitchen equipment and appliances
Able to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Physically able to stand and move around for long periods of time

Days: Vary, but must be available Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Days off are Sunday and Monday.
Hours: Vary each week, from 20 to 40.
Pay: $22 an hour
