Full-time Volunteer Fundraiser

at Jobisite in Tower Hamlets

Who we are and what we do;
Make it Count Fundraising Ltd is a rapidly growing limited company working with and for different charities, assisting them with marketing, content creation, fundraising, networking and day-to-day running of said charities.
What we require;
Currently, we are looking for volunteers (possibly students) who are looking to expand their skills in volunteering and fundraising whilst gaining new experiences and skills. We are a not-for-profit organisation, run 100% by volunteers.
Duties will include;
• Our fundraisers are responsible for raising money by encouraging donations from individuals at supermarkets, shopping centres, on high streets (authorised by local councils) and many other appropriate locations across London and the UK
• Giving out the right information and resources to individuals, e.g. if they need information in contacting the charity guide them to the correct place
• Travelling to our variety of pre-booked locations all across the UK. We allow our fundraisers to choose when and where they wish to work
What we expect from our fundraisers;
Taking initiative – Initiative is all about taking charge. It is having the motivation to accomplish tasks on your own. If you want to be great at what you do, you need to show that you are ready, willing and able to get things done efficiently, without being asked.
Positive attitude – Having a positive attitude is more important than the knowledge an individual brings to the table. A positive attitude is infectious, it spreads to all the others in the workplace. Also, if you have a positive attitude, you tend to be more curious, meaning ultimately you learn more.
Results orientated – Results orientated individuals are focused on making things happen no matter the challenges or roadblocks. This means you dig through tasks and figure out how to obtain the desired results. In addition, you stay focused on each task, meet deadlines and deliver value to our organisation.
Team Player – Whilst we want you to have the initiative to be able to solve and complete tasks on your own, you must also be able to work well as part of a team. A team player is someone who actively contributes to their group to complete tasks or meet goals. Team players understand that their team’s success is their own, and they share responsibility when their team experiences difficulties along the way.
What you will receive from us;
• Full training and support from our team
• We can provide references for you if required
• We provide a certificate for participating with our charity
• Real life experience in a face to face fundraising role
• Opportunities to develop your skills and experience
If you are a student, or just have some free time to spare, interested in this fundraising position, please do not hesitate to contact us. We look forward to hearing from you!
