GVI, Inc., a Federal Government Contractor industry leader, is seeking an Electrical Engineer to effectively and efficiently support the Ohio Replacement, Land Based Test Facility (LBTF) in the Sensors and Arrays Division at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) in Newport, RI.

Qualified candidate will be expected to:

Read and interpret electrical schematics.
Wire and solder connections from the schematics.
Identify and resolve any discrepancies with the design.
Utilize LabVIEW with validating code, sequencing, loops, function calls, variables, etc.
Participate in Lab Tests of the Electrical Components and Machinery operating the LBTF.
To perform these duties; The ideal candidate should possess the following skill sets:

Be energetic, have a good attitude and work well with a team.
Be trained and/or experienced with LabVIEW.
Be trained and/or experienced with soldering of wires and board level components at the J-Standard level.
Knowledge of Electrical/Electronic principles.
Position Requirements:

US Citizen.
Must be able to obtain and maintain an Active Secret Clearance; Candidates currently possessing an Active Secret Clearance (or higher) are preferred.
Electrical Engineering degree from an accredited College/University required.
Minimum three (3) to five (5) years’ experience on electrical and mechanical components.
Must have a valid United States Driver’s License.
Proficient with MS Office Suite programs.
Ability to frequently lift & carry up to 50 lbs.
Preferences:

Prior experience with Navy systems desired but not required.
Prior experience with test equipment, including multi-meters, signal analyzers and oscilloscopes and the ability to compare data and signals, preferred.
J-STD-001 certified or previously certified.
