Summary of Services & Responsibilities:

The purpose of a QP is to serve as a therapeutic resource to consumers of A Caring Alternative in compliance with agency standards and best practice. Therapeutic foster care (TFC) is a clinical intervention, which includes placement in specifically trained foster parent homes, for youth in foster youth with severe mental, emotional, or behavioral health needs.

Job Duties Include:

· Carry a case load of twelve children and oversee case management functions for these consumers.

· Provide educational and therapeutic support to children and families

· Ensure homes are operating within state laws and regulations

· Show knowledge and use of clinical process to achieve positive outcomes to include: evaluation, assessment, service, treatment planning, intervention techniques, aftercare, and transition planning

· Remain available face to face or by telephone, 24 hours a day 7 days a week as staff serves as the first responder in the event of crisis situations. The service site will be at any location the consumer or family needs

Education and Experience Required:

1. A bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Social Work, Special Education, or other closely related Human Services area

2. Two (2) years of professional experience with the child mental health population

3. Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal, and organizational skills. High level proficiency in Microsoft Office- MS Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. Or an equivalent combination of education and experience

We provide an array of services to Alexander, Buncombe, Burke, Catawba, Caldwell, Iredell, McDowell, and Mitchell counties which consist of Assertive Community Treatment Team, Community Support Team, Day Treatment, Integrated Care, Intensive In-Home, Medication Management, Outpatient Therapy, and Therapeutic Foster Care.
