Job Description
PeopleReady ofSouth Gate has an immediate opening forDishwashers inLos Angeles, CA.
The Dishwashers will serve as overall Kitchen Stewards and important members of our staff, contributing to our compliance with Health Department Regulations. They will carefully wash dishes, glasses, pots, pans and cookware from the Club's 5 restaurants, 3 kitchens and employee cafeteria, carefully storing all cleaned items and equipment in designated areas. The Dishwashers will perform janitorial duties as needed, keeping the work area clean and sanitary including the main kitchens and walk-ins, sweeping and mopping, emptying garbage, cleaning up broken glass and breaking down boxes. They will recognize the importance of their role, view no task as insignificant and take pride in providing outstanding service and contributing to the success of their team and the Club as a whole. Must be able to lift 25lbs, stand and walk for long periods of time; reach, stoop, bend, twist, push, pull and grasp; reach above and below shoulder level. Regular exposure to water, chemicals and heat.
Note - Pay Rate for this Job is $17.00/Hour
Shift Timing - All Available
Responsibilities Include:

• Washing and putting away dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans
• Making sure kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils are clean and working properly
• Stocking supplies in serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, or salad bars
• May be asked to clean other areas
• Cleaning or preparing various foods for cooking or serving
• Carrying supplies between storage and work areas

Qualifications:

• Background check and Drug screen required.
• Must be a Team player with a can-do attitude who can work well with others, move quickly and accomplish tasks in a timely manner.
• Previous experience in the food service field with an understanding of equipment operation and kitchen procedures.
• Flexibility to work the hours and shifts required and the work ethic to arrive at work promptly and consistently.
• A service oriented personality.
• Responsible and helpful attitude at all times.
• Attention to detail Exceptional grooming habits, maintaining a clean and complete uniform as designated by Management.
• Punctual and reliable
