Job Description
PeopleReady ofSouth Gate has an immediate opening forHousekeepers in Los Angeles, CA.
The Houseman will work as part of a team responsible for meeting and exceeding the expectations of members and their guests. He or she will be responsible for the physical set-up, preparation, tear-down and clean-up of all banquet events, executing turnovers to meet deadlines. The Houseman will follow specific Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and floor plans to ensure accuracy of the set-up. He or she will maintain the cleanliness and eye-appeal of the banquet space. This is a fast paced position that will involve constant customer interaction. The Houseman will apply a strong attention to detail to ensure that private events are flawlessly executed to create beautiful memories for our members and their guests. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, stand and walk 6 to 8 hours per day, bend, squat, climb, kneel, twist at the neck and waist, reach above and below shoulder level, and use dominant hand to grasp, push and pull. This position pays $16.50-$19.50 per hour depending on experience. Must be able to work late nights, weekends and holidays.
Note - Pay Rate for this Job is $16.5/Hour
Shift Timing - 1st Shift (Day), 2nd Shift (Evening), 3rd Shift (Night) and Weekends
Responsibilities Include:

• Making beds, replenishing linens, cleaning rooms and halls
• Cleaning areas as assigned by supervisor
• Vacuuming rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies
• Dusting and polishing furniture and equipment
• Washing windows, walls, ceilings, and woodwork

Qualifications:

• Previous hospitality experience preferred
• Punctual and reliable self-starter, able to multi-task
• Able to read Banquet Event Orders and floor plans
• Strong verbal communication in English, able to listen to and understand members and guests needs (handheld radio use throughout shift)
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Able to work well with others, resolving problems quickly and effectively using good judgment
• Able to work well under pressure
• Able to organize and prioritize, think clearly and remain calm
• Exceptional grooming habits, maintaining a clean and complete uniform as designated by management
• High school diploma preferred
• Able to work either day or evening shifts including weekends and holidays
• Position requires previous restaurant experience, strong conversational English and the ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Background check required
• Drug test required
