Our client is a family-owned cleaning company, based in Guernsey, in the Channel Islands.


They are currently recruiting cleaners or couples to join their busy and friendly team.

The work is varied and would include cleaning both residential and commercial property on the island.


Responsibilities
Carry out all cleaning tasks in accordance with the work schedule

Take ownership of Health and Safety for yourself and others at work

Complete all work in accordance with current legal Health and Safety requirements

Ensure any appropriate warning signs are always in use

Observe and comply with site rules and regulations at all times

Maintain equipment and materials in a clean and safe working order

Report all machine and building faults to the line manager

Respond courteously to customer and management requests

Undertake any other duties as requested by line managers


Knowledge skills & experience
Cleaning experience in either a residential or a commercial environment.

Carpet cleaning and/or over-cleaning experience would be beneficial but not a necessity.

A full clean driving license is essential as you will need to be able to get around the island as there is limited public transport. A vehicle will be provided.


Person
Be reliable and hardworking with a professional attitude

be fit as some heavy lifting may be involved

Be able to work to a schedule

Be able to work as part of a team

Be able to work using their own initiative

Good communication skills are essential.

Bi or multilingual would be an advantage but is not essential.


References will be required


Our client will arrange suitable accommodation for you when arriving on the island ( but not pay for it).

You will have to pay your fare to the island if accepted for the position.


The tax rate in Guernsey is 20% and NI is significantly lower than in the rest of the UK.

This is a full-time role (days and nights) with the opportunity to work 40 + with a pay rate of Domestic £11.00p/h, and Commercial £12.50 - 13.00p/h.
