Job Description
PeopleReady ofSouth Gatehas an immediate opening for Chefs inLos Angeles, CA.
Chefs ensure quality product and service in each of its 5 restaurants plus an employee cafeteria. From the pool and courtside cafes, to the formal dining room, grill room and dining patio, we depend on skilled Pantry Cooks, Prep Cooks, Line Cooks, and Pastry Cooks, working as a team under the leadership of our executive chefs, to ensure that HCC is the dining destination of choice for our members and their guests, both for restaurant dining and our many private banquet events.
Shift Timings - 2nd Shift (Evening) & 3rd Shift (Night)
Responsibilities Include:

• Quality is our chief concern and we look for experienced candidates who are certified food handlers, familiar with all the requirements of health department sanitation standards.
• Every Hillcrest cook is tasked with food preparation, quality assurance and following the appropriate health, safety and sanitation guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Position requires at least 2 years previous cooking experience in a high-volume operation, current
• Food Handler Certification and the ability to communicate effectively in English, bi-lingual Spanish preferred.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Drug screen required
• Background Check Required
