Full-time Policy Analyst - Regulatory - MUST HAVE LAW DEGREE - 2586

Ocean Bay, LLC, a subsidiary of Three Saints Bay, LLC and a Federal Government Contractor industry leader, is seeking a looking for an experienced Policy / Regulatory Analyst to join our Team in Arlington, VA

Responsibilities:

Identify and provide guidance in developing regulatory policies and procedures; provide maintenance and updates, and appropriate control of documents, policy standards, or consensus standards on necessary actions to maintain regulatory compliance.
Provide technical expertise on regulations in consideration.
Research, interpret and analyze applicable laws and regulations to ensure it accurately reflects the policies of the organization/agency.
Conduct in-depth research and analysis to assist in the development of environmental analyses, regulatory impact studies, economic analyses, Regulatory Flexibility Act analyses, and Small Business Regulatory Enforcement Fairness Act analyses.
Analyze and interpret the impact of registrant compliance with regulatory changes which cut across all sectors of the economy
Conduct research on a wide range of economic matters in support of the Diversion Control Division’s regulatory and policy development activities.
Prepare and deliver briefings to senior management describing program status, issues, findings, analyses, results, recommendations and conclusion as appropriate.
Maintain current knowledge base of existing and emerging regulations, standards, or guidance documents.
Support the evaluation of the impact of existing and proposed statues, regulations, and policy directives on Diversion Control Program operations, including preventing, detecting and deterring diversion of controlled substances and listed chemicals.
Formulate/Write Notices of Proposed Rulemaking, Final Rules, publications of quotas, procedures, specifications, standards, and technical documentation of processes for regulatory actions; collect and coordinate information and prepare regulatory documentation for submission.
Oversee and actively participate in the evaluation of regulatory compliance of documents, processes and methods changes and review existing policy or suggested changes for impact in implementation and application.
Participate in the research of regulatory issues and dissemination of regulatory information to management as required; Resolves complex issues or problems affecting the components of DCP.
Work independently to review and prepare documents addressing unconventional issues and/or problems affecting the program; work to identify trends and areas for improvements in procedures.
Provide technical guidance to other staff members regarding DCFA policy and procedures as well as proposed legislation and executive policy directives.
Write or update technical materials, such as standard operating procedures, reports of research findings or regulations in technical areas.
Develop appropriate compliance awareness training programs and conduct training consistent with regulatory compliance manuals.
Participate in discussions, meetings, conferences, and conference calls with agency administrative, business analysts, technical personnel, and other federal agency officials.
Serve as liaison between DEA and other law enforcement agencies in the areas of Diversion Control responsibilities and objectives.
Work with general public or specific registrants that may be impacted by OD activities.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:

US Citizen.
Ability to obtain and maintain an active Public Trust Designation.
Law Degree is required
Ten (10) years of progressive work experience, culminating in current role as a senior technical/business professional who acts as an adviser in complex and critical client projects.
Minimum of 5 years regulatory analysis and/or policy development
Must be able to maintain a Public Trust level clearance and be drug-free
Preferred experience and /or knowledge of Code of Federal Regulations
