Customer Service & Inside Salesperson Full-time

Spang Power Electronics, a global manufacturer of specialty power control and conversion equipment, has an opening for a Customer Service & Inside Salesperson based at its Mentor, Ohio facility.

The position will be responsible for sales support and general customer service activities. The Customer Service and Inside Salesperson will answer and distribute incoming customer calls, be the primary sales channel for direct part number proposals, enter orders, create invoices, follow up on outstanding proposals, and professionally represent Spang over all media channels to new and established customers.

Major Responsibilities:
•Receiving incoming calls for the sales & engineering office.
•Direct or handle customer questions / concerns as needed
•Become proficient in Spang's ERP system related to sales functions, train and support others as needed.
•Review customer purchase orders for accuracy. Enter and invoice orders in Spang’s ERP system (IFS)
•Create sales quotations and supply to customers
•Confirm product lead times through Spang’s ERP system and Manufacturing
•Follow up with customers for project or PO status
•Check and confirm order status and shipment / tracking details
•Send customer acknowledgments, confirmations, delivery notes, and invoices
•Submit new customer information for customs compliance and credit check.
•Enter new or modify existing customer records and sales parts in Spang's ERP system.
•Output and manipulate sales data in Microsoft Excel

Qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in Business with 1+ years' experience in a similar sales or customer service role, preferably to similar industrial customers. Good interpersonal skills and excellent verbal & written English is required. Proficiency at typing and computer work across Windows and Microsoft platforms is needed.
