Full-time Lead Manager – Global Payments Operations

Job Description:
The Candidate will be based in Sydney and would be responsible for leading Payment Operations team:
• Lead the team for Payment operations including liquidity / funds position monitoring and related activities. Ensures day-to-day operations are carried out smoothly, including providing quality service delivery for the clients.
• Act as a Go-To person for branch’s operational matters and key liaison between the Business and other stakeholders to support meeting client, regulatory & compliance requirements.
• Monitor and maintain Branch Liquidity Process, ensure regulatory capital/liquidity ratios are met, maintain and test business continuity plan.
• Identifies, investigates and resolves problems related to operational activities. Work closely with technology and systems teams to ensure the system is efficient and incorporate any necessary risk mitigations.
• Have good orientation towards Operations controls and risk mitigation in accordance to company standards and market guidelines. Ensure all company procedures and policies are adhered to at all times.
• Identify process improvement opportunities & influence stakeholders to bring changes in the process. Participate/Lead Projects and Initiatives which involve partnering with multiple global and regional stakeholders – Business, Client service, technology, Compliance, products etc.
• Gathers and analyzes data to identify and solve complex problems. Looks beyond the immediate problem to the wider implications.
• Responsible for achievement of team goals. Ensures team is equipped to operationalize the asks. Manages the human resources including coaching, performance management and career development.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Advanced/graduate degree preferred.
• 10+ years of total relevant work experience with at least 3-5 years in management preferred.
• A good understanding of End-to-end operations of payments & cash operations is mandatory.
• Possess good communication and interpersonal skills
• Quick learner and able to work under challenging environment, enjoys working in a multi-tasking environment with focus on team management.
