A leading provider of private jet services is looking for a goal oriented dedicated and proactive person to join as the Shipping and Receiving Supervisor.
Position summary
The Shipping, Receiving supervisor would ensure smooth and efficient operations of the shipping and receiving departments, coordinating the activities of all employees engaged in shipping, material handling, storage and transportation. The candidates need to undergo drug screening and background check.
Key Responsibilities
Supervision and coordination of activities of employees engaged in verifying the accuracy of and keeping records on incoming & outgoing shipments.
To study shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records to determine the shipping priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules
To determine space requirements & position of shipment in trucks
Picking up and shipping orders with maximum efficiency and accuracy per customer and shipping requirements
Reconciling all receiving discrepancies and make recommendations for preventing
Packaging items using approved packaging methods and material ensuring integrity during transit.
Weighing and accurately recording items on pick sheets and cartons
Loading and offloading trucks using forklift or hand cart ensuring that all safety measures are followed
Interacting with customers and suppliers in a polite and professional manner
Assisting co-workers in completion of assignments whenever and wherever possible
Performing cycle counts and submit inventory adjustments to the Purchasing manager
Inspecting loading operations to ensure compliance with shipping specifications & seal in compliance with international shipping requirements
Inspecting material handling equipment for defects and decide for necessary repairs
Directing movement of shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage and work areas and ensures that accuracy of bin location in database
Reporting weight & shipping charges
Preparing bills of lading as necessary
Maintaining a clean, efficient and well-organized warehouse
Training of staff members
Enforcing company policies & practices
Performing additional tasks & responsibilities as required
Providing direction to other staff members
Education Associates or equivalent aviation work experience. Experience Five-plus years shipping and receiving experience with a minimum of three years of supervisory experience. Valid driver’s license and clean DMV record.

Key Requirement: Must have maintenance experience on one or more of the following brands of aircrafts (corporate jet lines of aircraft only):
1. Gulfstream
2. Dassault
3. Learjet
4. Bombardier
5. Cessna
