Job Title: Enterprise Directory / Open LDAP Sr Technical Lead

Location: 100% Remote

Hire Type: Contract



Job Description:

Lead/design/build/hands-on experience



Skill Set:

Strong Linux skills

Linux "flavor" is unimportant

Strong cryptography skills

I would recommend the same criteria for hiring a senior DigitalBadge resource

Exceptional LDAP-related RFC familiarity

Candidates ideally should be able to talk about any facet of LDAP -- whether
standard or theoretical, past, present or future -- until the cows come home

Candidate work experience and/or area(s) of focus should not be limited to a
single LDAP implementation

Intermediate to advanced development capabilities

In the areas of LDAP and PKI alone, this engineer should be able to program
any solution without requiring assistance

Excellent documentation skills

I realize 99.999% of engineers hate to write, but this is not a technology
that should ever skimp on thorough documentation

A genuine passion for all of the above

Directories are a critical component in business; effective support will be
much more than a "simple job"

Directories are draining to support for many reasons, candidates should be,
literally, devoted

Candidates should not merely support the infrastructure -- they should yearn
to improve it, doing away with the previous debilitating status quo
