Job Description
Job Purpose:

In partnership with the Head of Marketing for the region, responsibility for developing marketing programs to target prospects and clients directly or through channel partners operating within region in support of generating new demand and retaining and developing existing clients. To deliver on this mandate, the role must work closely with central marketing functions as well as forming a close strategic alignment to regional Sales. The role involves understanding of the distribution channels in this region (institutional, wholesale and retail) in order to define a robust marketing and communications plan.

The role also involves building a network of marketing contacts within the wholesale segment that enables joint strategic marketing campaigns with the regions key Distributors (Saving banks, Banks, Fund supermarkets, etc). In addition, the role includes responsibility for the ultimate delivery of all elements of the marketing mix to the audiences identified.


In partnership with the Head of Marketing for the region promote a strong market orientation and influence strategy formulation in the designated markets to further penetrate, capture and maintain position in identified key market segments
Partner with marketing centre of excellence to share local insights and requirements and to embed centrally developed campaigns, content and utilisation of central execution services into plans
Participate in building co-marketing plans with central functions in support of revenue targets to target prospects, accounts, and/or partners directly operating within that region. Driving engagement with local buyers to inform and influence their buying decisions
Participate in creating channel marketing plans that help local Sales achieve a healthy pipeline
. Ensure that the elements of the marketing mix required to implement the marketing plan are employed in the most efficient manner and that agreed deliverables are delivered according to the defined scheduled.
Contribute towards the overall development of the company’s brand and visual identity and local brand awareness/ execution, ensuring compliance with the brand guidelines
Establish and strengthen relationships with identified key Distributors through the development of joint marketing initiatives (program localization) and/or sales campaigns. Understanding their needs and requirements for localization.
Orchestrate client/prospect journeys for the region utilising centrally developed campaigns & templates for web pages, emails, content etc. combined with regional developed assets / events.
Utilise central execution services to improve sophistication, consistency and capacity of engagement campaigns (Pune, central support)
Develop targeted direct marketing communications (regular and ad hoc) and manage the local sales support team to ensure implementation. In doing so, formulate ways to increasingly tie all e-communications to country dedicated websites that will allow promotion of BNY Mellon IM EMEA and its products whilst increasing website traffic
Contribute in the localization of all marketing materials, assets and programs required for the designated markets and oversee their review and update ensuring their relevancy for the market
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of all marketing activities. In addition, evaluate activities and identify improvements using data driven methods and making use of centrally developed reports and dashboards.
Ensurall local marketing activities are approved and ensure that the agreed procedure is followed and re-visited if needed on an annual basis
Establish and track lead generation metrics with central functions and promote the adoption of lead management processes.
Work as part of the Marketing team and contribute towards making internal and external processes flow smoothly and efficiently
Keep sales, client services and sales support personnel fully informed of all marketing developments affecting the regions at all times.
