Full-time Physical Therapist Assistant (Full-Time/PERM/SNF)

We seek a caring and professional Physical Therapy Assistant for a skilled nursing facility in Foley. This is a full-time position working with our geriatric Physical Therapy team. We are a community of caregivers delivering daily on our Mission to provide compassionate care accessible to all of our residents. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will be responsible for carrying out the physical therapy plan of care, toward patient-specific goals, under the direct supervision of a licensed physical therapist. Provide treatment to restore function, prevent disability, and assist patients in achieving optimal levels of functional status. Work as part of a patient care team toward the best outcomes for the patient.

In this position, you will:
• Provide physical therapy to residents under the direction of a Physical Therapist as prescribed by a physician licensed in the state
• Document progress toward goals in the medical record according to facility guidelines.
• Provide resident, family, and staff education in various settings.
• Implement care/services that recognize age/ diversity and specific needs/issues of customers served.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications: Required qualifications for this position include:
• An associate degree program in Physical Therapy Assistant
• Current license from the state as a Physical Therapy Assistant

Preferred qualifications for this position include:
• One year of clinical experience with geriatrics
