Full-time Senior Representative, Client Processing

at BNY Mellon in Liverpool

Responsible for transaction processing and for post trade services. Provides client service and support to internal and external clients on a daily basis, including product knowledge and technical assistance, problem resolution, and account transaction or managed account processing pertaining to trade settlement.

The following specialties are typically filled by processors:

Cash and stock break resolution
Responsible for review, investigation and response on client queries
Assisting manager on projects and client meetings
Testing for releases, functional changes, and ad-hoc testing
Day to day settlements duties and tasks
Chasing counter parties for outstanding trades
Ensuring accounts are fully funded
Resolving blocked or rejected trades
Managing stock positions to ensure securities are in the right place
Keeping procedures updated
Saving down and learning market information
Checking instructions for release
Provides quality client service (occasionally complex) and support to internal and external clients on a daily basis, including phone interaction, problem resolution and updates to client accounts in a timely manner.

Performs complex operational tasks in a product or functional area. Conducts independent analysis and policy interpretation. Performs complex processing of updates to client accounts or company records.
Executes client requisites in a timely and accurate manner with an understanding of the underlying business and specific client needs.
Maintains correspondent accounts in accordance with applicable regulations and policies, ensuring regulatory compliance and minimizing exposure related to assigned processing tasks.
Identifies, investigates and resolves problems in client accounts or company records.
Provides product knowledge and technical assistance, determining when the more complex problems should be referred to a supervisor or senior professional.
May be responsible for allocating and checking work of other team members. May be responsible for specific supervisory review and approval actions.
Responsible for the quality and completion of own work.
Required Skills and Attributes
• Experience in dealing with clients over the phone and written (email)
• Proven track record of delivering excellent client service
• Ability to adapt to change and use initiative to overcome challenges
• Must have intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office products (specifically Word, Excel, Access, Outlook)
• Understanding of International market settlement required
• Use of SWIFT messaging software required
• Ability to reconcile complex movements in cash and stock against local agents
