Shearwater Systems a leading Federal Contractor is seeking a Material Coordinator to support our client at the Yuma Proving Ground.



Responsibilities:

Review production schedules, confer with department supervisors to determine material required or overdue, locate material, requisition material and establish delivery sequences according to job order priorities and anticipated availability of material.
Arrange in-plant transfer of materials to meet production schedules
Meet with department supervisors for repair and assembly of material and it’s transportation to various departments
Examine material delivered to production departments to verify type is as specified
Monitor and control movement of material and parts along conveyor system using remote control panel board
Compute amount of material needed for specific job orders
Apply knowledge of product and manufacturing processes
Compile report of quantity and type of material on hand
Move or transport material from one department to another
Compile perpetual production records in order to locate material in process of production by use of manual or computerized system
Records maintenance


Requirements:

Must be a native-born or naturalized citizen of the United States
Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
Must possess a valid Drivers License and be able to obtain a government license
High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum of three years’ experience working with an automated supply inventory and purchasing system
Must have computer skills relating to automated inventories and purchasing programs
Must have knowledge of a Government Supply System
Must be able to read, understand and comply with the regulations established by the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
