IT Security Analyst needs Associate’s degree and two years of computer technology-related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
IT Security Analyst requires;
 A working knowledge of basic hardware and software products and problem-solving/troubleshooting skills
 Knowledge of the latest technologies obtained by attending training and conferences
 Internet Computing: Basic
 Mainframe Computing: Basic
 Data Access and User Administration: Basic
 Data Security: Basic
 Development Requirements Definition: Basic
 Network Security: Basic
 Security Risk Management: Basic
 Systems Security and User Administration: Basic
 Systems Security Maintenance: Basic
 Systems Security Policies and Procedures: Basic
 Systems Security Testing and Auditing: Basic
 Information Security Technology: Basic

IT Security Analyst duties:
 Provides basic maintenance and support on all phases of security access requests; generally assists on projects less than 10 percent of the time and is typically involved in less complex tasks (limited in scope, short in duration); acts mainly as a team member
 Troubleshoots basic issues/problems; depends heavily on checklists as guides; documents solutions and provides on-the-spot training to clients when required
 Assists in the development of solutions for information security improvements
 Provides support on all basic access requests and escalates problems appropriately; monitors and maintains ownership of work orders to ensure problem resolutions
 Maintains problem-tracking logs, identifies patterns, and communicates the existence of patterns in tracking logs to management
 Maintains service level agreement targets and ensures that requirements are met or exceeded; ensures that clients follow appropriate service procedures
Interacts with clients in a courteous and professional manner to foster customer relations
 Performs other related duties as required
