About the Role
As a Senior Perception Engineer (Computer Vision), you will own our visual perception pipelines. Some of your key areas of research will include: scene understanding, semantic segmentation, and improving the inference speed and latency of deep learning pipelines. You will be responsible for orchestrating experimentation on and creation of large scale foundation models, and other pieces of large scale computer vision pipelines.

About You

You are a proactive and thorough engineer passionate about software development, always leaving the code at a better state than you found it. You stay on top of the latest standards and techniques and love coming up with new ideas as much as you love building them and getting to the bottom of things and coming up with phenomenal solutions.

Must-Have Qualifications

Hands-on research/application experience in one/multiple CV tasks: 2D/3D Object Detection, Scene/Instance Segmentation, Object Tracking, Generative Networks, etc.
3-5 years Industry experience large scale image pipelines in edge computing, autonomous vehicles, IoT, or robotics
Familiarity with modern machine learning environments such as Pytorch
Excellent C++, Python and/or CUDA programming skills
Masters or PhD or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Applied Math, or related field.
Nice-to-Have Skills

Specific background with DSGs
Specific background with algorithmic optimization applied to deep learning algorithms
Experience developing real-time Image Processing and/or Computer Vision systems
Good paper records in top conferences like CVPR, ICCV, ICLR, ICML, NeurIPS, etc…
Specific background in perception for autonomous vehicles, drones, other land vehicles, and/or industry robotics
Experience working with (but not necessarily building) traditional SLAM and navigation systems.
