Shearwater is looking for Laborer to join our Grounds Maintenance crew at Yuma Proving Ground, AZ.


Responsibilities:

Perform one or more of the following tasks: cuts grass, using walking type or riding mowers (less than 2,000 lbs.)

Trim hedges and edges around walks, flower beds and wells, using hedge trimmers, clippers and edging tools

Prune shrubs and trees to shape and improve growth, using shears and other hand tools

Plant grass, flowers, trees and shrubs

Water lawn and shrubs during dry periods, using hose or activating sprinkler system

Pick up and/or cart away leaves, paper or other litter

Assist in repair of roads, walks, buildings

Clean comfort stations, office and workshop areas and parking lots by sweeping, washing, mopping and polishing



Requirements:

Terms of Employment & Eligibility Requirements:

Must be a U.S. Citizen

Must possess or be able to obtain a security clearance prior to employment and maintain security clearance for the duration of employment.

Education/Licenses/Certifications/Experience Requirements:

AZ DL.

Class B Driver’s License desired

Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and physical.

Must be able to lift 75 pounds, unassisted.

Ability to perform work in a rapid and efficient manner under extreme conditions

Ability to perform work safely under hazardous conditions.

Ability to select the proper equipment

Relevance of experience to be determined by the hiring manager.
