Ghostrock, LLC, a subsidiary of Three Saints Bay, LLC and a Federal Government Contractor industry leader, is seeking an expereince Tactical Air Navigation (TACAN) Maintenance Technician to join our Team in San Diego, CA

Description:

This position will provide support for a navigation system that delivers heading and distance information to aircraft from landing platforms (ships or ground facilities).

The TACAN Maintenance Technician will utilize the following variants:

AN/URN-25 (Legacy) - Full power beacon that provides 3000Watts
AN/URN-32 - Full power beacon that provides 3000Watts
MM6800 (LCS ONLY) - 400Watt system that provides full service to aircraft. The transmitter is based on the AN/TRN-47 portable Marine TACAN beacon system but mated with a ship based TACAN antenna system (OE-273).
MM7000 - 1000Watt system that provides full service to aircraft. This beacon system shares many components of the AN/URN-32 digital TACAN system.
Requirements

US Citizen.
Ability to obtain and maintain an Active Secret Clearance; candidates currently possessing an Active Secret Clearance (or higher) are preferred.
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Successfully completed Navy TACAN “C” School
Six (6) years of experience using the TACAN and associated system(s).
Familiarization with RF pulsed systems RADAR, IFF ETC, RF amplifiers, and general RF transmitter technology.
Technical knowledge of RF radiation transmission characteristics, RF cabling, antennas and safety practices.
Familiar with Oscilloscopes, Multimeters, Power Meters and Gyro Synchro Testers as well as other general lab test equipment for inspecting and troubleshooting the TACAN system.
Provide analysis of high-power RF signals, analysis of complex non-RF analog signals and system alignments.
Ability to provide Aloft operations during crane services and ladder climbs will be required.
Familiarization with climbing harnesses is required.
Position is in San Diego, CA.
