Specialist, Business Process Improvements/Best Practice

Location: Pune/Chennai



Summary:

The Business Process Re-engineering team within Risk and Compliance in BNY Mellon is responsible for driving change across the transaction life cycle through cross-functional collaboration and adoption of industry leading best practices.



Roles and Responsibilities:



Business Process Re-engineering - Individual Contributor acts as resource for clients to design/develop and implement process improvement initiatives through cross-functional collaboration based on their business strategy.  
Assigned to moderately complex processes and/or a piece of an enterprise-wise initiative.  
Demonstrated ability to map processes (L0 – L4) across end-to-end value streams and across customer journeys
Conducts research to inform and guide solutions. Employs a client-focused approach to drive adoption and utilization of business process re-engineering solutions
Develops business process change recommendations. 
Documents processes to analyze and prioritize business requirements using Six Sigma / Lean / other process improvement tools’ expertise. 
Develops metrics to inform process measurement and root cause assessment based on assessment of best practice techniques for projects. 
Facilitates and coaches project team to ensure optimal program adoption. 
Employs change management strategies. 
Contributes to the function’s intellectual capital around business process improvement and consulting approach. 
No direct reports. 
Works closely with a project team to accomplish results. Contributes to the achievement of multiple related team’s objectives and profitability of assigned product(s). 


Qualification and Experience:



Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Advanced/graduate degree preferred.  
5+ years of total work experience preferred. Experience in securities, financial products and/or the finance industry preferred.  
Risk and Compliance and financial services experience
Demonstrated Project management experience
Six Sigma Black Belt and PMP certification preferred.
