Full-time Composite Technician - 3022

at Three Saints Bay, LLC in Oklahoma

OLH Technical Services, LLC, a subsidiary of Three Saints Bay, LLC, and a Federal Government Contractor industry leader, is seeking Composite Technicians to perform plastic & fiberglass fabrication & repair.



Responsibilities:

Perform plastic and fiberglass fabrication and repair of requested items. This includes patching defective areas, encapsulating components and accomplishing all other modifications necessary to restore the items to an operational condition as specified by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) or original manufacturer's specifications, technical documents, or modification instructions as applicable.
Independently perform complex duties of the plastics and fiberglass trade. Identify a variety of materials and their working or molding characteristics.


Requirements:

US Citizen
Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
Ability to pass a Federal Background Investigation.
A high school diploma is required. Associate degree is desired or vocational training is desired. Associate degree/vocational certificate in technical field is required for Level III.
Experience in repair, fabrication, modification, removal, and installation of composite and/or plastic items, parts, assemblies, and structures. Composite/plastic fabricating work requires knowledge of the physical properties and working characteristics of plastic, composite, and compound ingredients, with a working knowledge of metals, metal properties, and metal characteristics.

At the Level II the Composite Technician shall plan and accomplish repairs, interpret technical directions and drawings, and determine work approaches.
At the Level III the Composite Technician shall have knowledge and skill in the full range of manufacturing and fabrication techniques to create approaches to meet technical requirements, create prototypes, meet high tolerances, and create fixtures and to ability to calculate loads, fits, sizes, weights, and instructions to establish repair processes.
Knowledgeable in the use, handling, storage and disposal preparation of hazardous chemicals and materials.
Knowledgeable in current trade theory and safety practices.
Ability to interpret applicable instructions, blueprints, specifications, and standards is required.
Ability to use and maintain all applicable tools and equipment.
