Full-time Fire sprinkler estimator

We are currently seeking a dedicated Fire Sprinkler Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying bid opportunities, formulating cost estimates, and submitting competitive bids to secure contracts for fire sprinkler projects.
Responsibilities:
• Research and identify potential bid opportunities for fire sprinkler projects through various channels such as online bid sites, networking events, and industry publications.
• Review project specifications and architectural drawings to develop a comprehensive understanding of project requirements.
• Perform accurate material take-offs, labor calculations, and material costs to develop detailed project estimates.
• Prepare and submit competitive bid proposals, including all necessary documentation, to clients in a timely and professional manner.
• Collaborate with internal team members, such as project managers and engineers, to ensure accurate and comprehensive project estimates.
• Track and analyze competitor pricing and market trends to maintain a competitive edge.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local, state, and federal codes and regulations relevant to fire sprinkler systems.
• Establish and maintain strong professional relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to expand business opportunities and promote company reputation.
Qualifications:
• Minimum 3 years of experience in estimating fire sprinkler projects or similar roles in the construction industry.
• Strong understanding of fire sprinkler system components, design principles, and installation processes.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural and engineering drawings.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate and thorough estimates.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present proposals to clients in a clear and professional manner.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and estimating software.
• Familiarity with local, state, and federal codes and regulations related to fire sprinkler systems.
• NICET certification in Water-Based Systems Layout is a plus.
