So, what drives us?

We've an excellent reputation and strong relationships with our commissioners; this has meant we've had great success in extending our contracts to continue supporting people across all areas where we work.

We've now received several Care Inspectorate Wales inspections under the new ‘Regulation and Inspection of Social Care Wales Act'. Inspection reports across regions have been very positive and have recognized our commitment to supporting people to achieve their individual goals and outcomes in a truly person-centred and co-productive way.

Our ambition for the future is clear; we want to continue to be more innovative, creative, community focused and co-productive in everything we do – as an Area Manager you'll play a central role in driving that ambition.

Our three strategic aims set out our overarching priorities and everything we do is aligned with these:

To empower people to live happy and fulfilled lives
To value, support and develop our staff and volunteers
To continue to learn, develop and build on our strengths
So, what's the focus of the Area Manager role?

The Area Manager role holds ‘Registered Manager' status with Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW); you'll therefore be responsible for ensuring our services are compliant with CIW and contractual regulations and standards, however, the role is about much more than compliance.

You'll take the lead in developing a co-productive and innovative culture across services in Cardiff region. Supported by the Head of Service you'll work together to ensure the development and delivery of our strategic objectives for Support Services.

You'll work in partnership with the people we support, their families/carers/friends, local community organisations, housing partners, statutory organisations, staff and volunteers, and others to help ensure people achieve the things that matter to them.

You'll work with our ‘Innovation and Development team' to champion creativity and best practice – ensuring every support in your area reflects our strategic aims and our organizational values.

You'll work with our Human Resources, Learning and Development, and Health and Wellbeing teams to deliver our second strategic aim – ensuring all our staff and volunteers are valued, supported and developed.

You'll work with our Finance team to ensure our services are sustainable, efficient and focused on delivering best value for the people we support and our commissioners.

You'll play a central role in our continued growth and development, leading the Locality Managers and Practice Leaders to provide consistently high quality services for everyone we work with.

Fundamentally you'll work as part of a Senior Management team to ensure our support is creative, innovative and person centred.

In return, we are committed to your development and helping you achieve your potential. You'll join a committed and supportive team who are focused on mirus achieving its goals while also being a great place to work.

Your leadership can make a huge difference to people's lives every day and where people are at the heart of everything we do! If that sounds like the kind of role you've been waiting for, we look forward to receiving your application. Please contact me if you would like an informal discussion about the role.
