Restaurant Manager

We are on the hunt for an experienced Restaurant Manager to oversee and manage operations at Leigh Street Wine Room.
The Restaurant Manager is a leadership position, working in close collaboration with our Executive Chef and the management team to establish a new, exciting food and beverage experience in the heart of Adelaide.
Key Responsibilities:
-Adhere to all hospitality regulations and guidelines, including responsible service of alcohol practices
-Engage with staff and customers in an approachable and professional manner ensuring memorable guest experiences
-Motivate the team to enhance performance and service standards whilst achieving business goals and financial budgets
-Manage and maintain elevated levels of presentation, cleanliness, and organization across all service areas
-Produce revenue forecasts, monitor expenditure, and create rosters
-Identify areas for growth and improvement
-Deliver a hands-on approach and coordinate venue operations daily
-Supervise, oversee, and set up functions and events as required
-Actively manage staff performance, by providing feedback to improve individual and team productivity
-Contribute to and build an inclusive, supportive, and authentic working culture
-Work with the Executive Chef and management team to build a strong, collaborative, respectful team.
Qualifications:
-5+ years of experience in a restaurant management and hospitality industry.
-5+ years of experience in wine industry with extensive knowledge of various wines, regions, vintages and varietals or in a similar wine focused role is required.
-Experience working with wine distributors and managing wine inventory.
-Experience with different aspects of restaurant operations, including front of house and back of house and the ability to train and educate staff about wines.
-Relevant certifications in hospitality or restaurant management can be advantageous.
-Exceptional tasting and olfactory skills to assess the quality of wines accurately.
-Ability to recommend wines that complement the cuisine and meet the preferences of diverse clientele.
-A genuine passion for wine and a commitment to staying informed about industry trends.
-Understanding of financial aspects, including budgeting, cost control and profit margins.
-Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and maintain composure in a busy environment by providing excellent customer service skills to enhance the overall dining experience.
-Commitment to delivering an outstanding customer experience.
-Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with staff, customers, and vendors and strong problem solving skills to handle issues that may arise in a fast paced-environment.

Salary range $72000 - $77000 per year
