Driver (LIFT)

We are looking for a Driver to join our LIFT team. A Driver provides safe, reliable transportation for clients to and from designated locations, both within and beyond SWCAP's service area. Depending on client needs, the Driver may assist with vehicle entry and exit. This role operates SWCAP-owned, disability-accommodated minivans, with no commercial drivers license required. As a client-facing role, courteous customer service is essential. Client schedules may occasionally require work outside regular business hours. A Driver may also pick up optional weekend rides.

Key Responsibilities:

-Transport people with disabilities, frail elders, or other people with special needs to and from assigned destinations
-Assist clients when entering and exiting the vehicle, as needed
-Record ride information in a driver's log
-Inspect, clean, and perform light-maintenance on fleet vehicles

Educational Background Required:
-High school diploma or equivalent

Required Licenses or Certifications:
-Valid driver's license

Other Requirements:
-Satisfactory motor vehicle record.
-Ability and willingness to drive in all Wisconsin weather conditions.
-Ability and willingness to adapt work schedules to meet client needs.
-Ability to lift the equivalent of 60 pounds. Ability to assist passengers when entering or exiting the vehicle, as needed.
-Ability to sit for extended periods, such as when driving a long distance
