QA Technician

at Jobisite in Worcestershire

To support, promote and advise all departments to ensure that, at all times, the quality, the food safety and the legality of the products manufactured are adhered to through monitoring, testing, documentation and collaboration to ensure production of high quality and safe products.

Key activities

 Conducting regular inspections of raw materials, intermediate products and finished goods to ensure they meet established quality and food safety standards and specifications.
 Maintaining detailed records of quality tests, inspections and any deviations from standards.
 Collecting samples of raw materials and finished products for laboratory testing.
 Monitoring and analysing various stages of the production process to identify and address any deviations or issues that may impact product quality or safety.
 Ensuring compliance with HACCP principles to identify and control potential hazards in the production process.
 Regularly calibrating and verifying the accuracy of testing equipment to ensure reliable and consistent results.
 To Conduct audits to ensure all systems, procedures and processes are compliant and adhered to.
 To conduct audits as part of the multidisciplinary internal audit team against BRC/ IFS and retailer codes of practice
 Providing training to production staff on quality standards, procedures and best practices to promote a culture of quality within the bakery.
 Collaborating with other departments to identify areas for improvement in the production process and implementing corrective and preventive actions to enhance overall product quality.
 Staying informed on relevant food safety regulations to ensure that the bakery complies with all relevant regulations.
 Collaborating with other departments to communicate quality and safety issues, share findings and work together to address challenges.
 To conduct investigations on customer complaints and to work to minimise complaints within the factory
 To conduct investigations into metal rejections or foreign bodies in the factory to identify the root cause and implement corrective action
