Our client, Westmorland Hotel, is recruiting a Chef de Partie. They were the first family-run hotel and motorway service station on the UK roads. There are no franchises or fast food on their forecourts. Instead, a Farmshop selling locally produced food, a Butchery featuring meat reared from their own farms and a Kitchen serving homemade dishes produced daily using local ingredients.

As part of this amazing team, you will be a part of their friendly kitchen team to bring their recipes to life by producing the best food with the best local ingredients. With your skill and attention to detail, you will create remarkable dishes that will guarantee their customers have a memorable dining experience every time.



As you know:

It all starts with preparation.

You will ensure that all ingredients are prepped and that your work area is set up ready for an efficient service and learning to cover all sections

You will have a good understanding of your ingredients and dishes delivering exceptional standards in your cooking and making sure we cater to each guest's requirements to maintain their excellent levels of service.

Ensure the highest standard of hygiene & cleanliness to ensure safe food preparation by following their company procedures and completing the necessary paperwork in line with their food safety management system

Understand your role in making a profitable kitchen by following menu specs, correctly recording wastage and ordering only what we need.

Support other members of the team and develop good working relationships with each other and work with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to develop junior members of the team



As the successful candidate:

You should be NVQ level 2 qualified and have experience working in a commercial kitchen ideally in a hotel environment. You should also have excellent communication skills and a passion for good food and quality ingredients.
