Material Handler needs 6 months or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Material Handler requires:
 HS Diploma or general education degree (GED)
 Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
 Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

Material Handler duties:
 Reviews Daily customer orders as it pertains to material delivery from the Warehouse. i.e Kitting, batching, Kanban etc.
 Maintains adequate inventory levels (line-side) in an effort to support the assembly process
 Identifies overstocking, material shortages, discrepant material, scrap, quality concerns etc.
 Contacts appropriate members of Management in an effort to consciously identify potential problems/ concerns as it pertains to their specific job requirements
 Enters data into Material Database via computer, scanner or other electronic devices as required
 Operates machinery pertinent to completing the tasks at hand. i.e. Forklift, Tugger, Pallet Jack
 Suggests continual Improvement opportunities while performing various tasks within the plant.
 Performs audits, visual inspections, verifications, cycle counts as required by management
 Must be willing to accept and receive frequent supervision and assistance with regard to material handling
 Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor
 Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations
 Other duties as required
