Full-time Director of Children's Ministry

at Jobisite in South Carolina

STATUS: Part-time
General Purpose of Position:
To build young disciples for Christ by developing and implementing a comprehensive approach to children’s ministry within the church family. Overseeing all programming and ministry for children ages 3 through 6th grade, including Sunday mornings, Wednesday nights, summer programming and special events including Vacation Bible School.

Job Skills and Qualifications
• Have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
• Excellent communication skills accompanied by a positive attitude with the youth of the church and the ability to relate to young people by earning their respect
• Great computer and creativity skills in designing new and entertaining ways for students to learn about Christ
• Organization and supervision skills
• A minimum of three years’ experience in Children’s Ministry
• Trained in Children’s Ministry
Primary Responsibilities
• Oversee Children’s Church on Sunday mornings
• Support Children’s Sunday School classes and teachers
• Schedule, plan and carry out Children’s outreach programs
• Recruit, train and encourage volunteers to lead and /or assist with Children’s Ministry
• Be aware of resources for developing the children’s ministry programming and participate in continuing education events and training opportunities
