Software Engineer (Front End)

We are looking for a Front End Software Engineer to join the team of our New Zealand client.

This is for a full-time job (permanent position) and office is in Makati (near Greenbelt) - Hybrid setup.
Salary: PHP 110,000-150,000 (depending on experience)

Provided with latest equipment needed for work.


The Role
Our team is growing, and this role as our Software Engineer (Front End) will see you working closely with our internal teams and external clients. You will also work alongside the wider team of creatives, designers, developers, and account managers. The purpose of the role will be to write clean code that adheres to the company’s coding standards in developing functional web applications. You will build reusable code and libraries for future use, and closely follow emerging technologies to improve company’s applications. We take a user-centric approach when building websites and applications, taking into consideration performance optimization and accessibility.


Key responsibilities in this role include:
• Writing clean code for web applications
• Troubleshooting and debugging issues
• Performing tests to optimize performance
• Learning and working with new technologies
• Collaborating with Back End Software Engineers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
• Working with other Front End Software Engineers to enhance continuous learning and development of new skills
• Gathering and addressing technical and design requirements
• Participating in all aspects of assigned projects and providing support to internal teams


About You
With at least 3 years of experience. Having a degree or familiarity within a related field, you will bring with you a sound understanding of Front End Development skills using modern languages and frameworks. You will be a great communicator and a valued member of the team. Having exceptional technical capabilities, and a positive and enthusiastic approach will also go a long way.


Alongside this you will bring:
• A creative and collaborative mindset
• Front End development knowledge (ideally UI-focused)
• Experience with HTML, CSS/Saas (using BEM methodology), JS and Vue
• Familiarity with build tools such as Webpack, Vite or Jamstack (beneficial but not essential) and testing through Jest, Cypress or similar
• Good organization and communication skills
• The ability to work from home, and as part of a team
