Line Cook
at Jobisite in Illinois
Looking for a full time cook to help prepare daily meals in our 2 restaurants that are located within an upscale retirement community. Timely and accurate preparation of meals according to planned menus is important.
This is a 40 hour/week position. Tuesday - Saturday availability with shifts generally from 10am - 7pm. Must be available to work weekends and holidays. This position pays $17.50/hour & up based on experience.
Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401k and paid time off after applicable waiting period.
Background check required.
Requirements
One (1) year of experience in commercial, institutional or related volume food preparation required
Ability to write, read and communicate in English
Knowledge of food preparation principles, including knowledge of flavoring & seasoning
Serve food items on time and at safe temperatures
Knowledge of sanitation procedures
Follow correct food handling
Monitor food levels
Maintain consistency and quality
Essential duties require the following physical abilities and work environment:
Make continuous or repetitive arm-hand movements, such as slicing or chopping food. Remain in a standing position for extended periods of time.
Clean work area and equipment using broom, mop, and sponge, cleaning solution or other appropriate tool or material.
Move objects between 20-50 pounds short distances (20 feet or less). Bending or stooping repeatedly over time, such as removing items from stove, oven or refrigerator.
