Glass, Structural Glazing and Roof Quality Assurance Observation

at Jobisite in Pennsylvania

Glass, Structural Glazing and Roof Quality Assurance Observation – Advanced Roof Technologies, Inc., an Ohio based roofing and building envelope consulting firm, is seeking qualified individuals for contract Quality Assurance Observation work on upcoming projects located within the continental US. Qualified candidates preferred to possess Registered Roof Observer registration or have experience with multiple ply modified bitumen roofing, single ply roofing, glass and structural glazing.
Responsibilities Include:
• Verification that specified material are stored in compliance with contract documents;
• Full-time observation of the contractor’s work to ensure proper application procedures are followed and are in accordance with the contract documents;
• Present at manufacturers’ site inspections;
• Document and report unforeseen conditions and deviations; convey resolutions provided by Designer to contractor;
• Author field condition reports and progress reports documenting:
 weather conditions, including precipitation;
 continuous record of job progress;
 conformance practices;
 deviations and resolutions;
 communications with the owner and contractor and with subcontractors that have been designated to receive communications from the QAO;
 personnel who are present on the job or who visit;
 photographs of project application and progress.
 Maintain daily project journal
Requirements:
• Registered Roof Observer (RRO) preferred
• 5+ years of QAO experience
• Thorough knowledge of roofing design, construction and reporting practices
• Computer skills including Acrobat Reader, Microsoft Suite and Dropbox preferred
• Good communication skills, both oral and written.
• Enthusiastic and willing to learn
• Detail oriented
• Proper time management skills
• Efficient and thorough
