Full-time Railcar Repair Technician

at Trinity Industries in Iowa

Are you ready to level up your career? Did you know you can use the skills you have to become a certified welder? TrinityRail Maintenance Services is looking to hire motivated, dedicated people to join our team as Railcar Repair Technicians in Shell Rock, Iowa!

What You'll Do:

· Use a variety of tools including pneumatic/hydraulic tools, grinders, jacks, welders, cutting torches and cranes

· Perform repairs and routine maintenance to railcars

· Perform repairs to subassemblies for final product

· Interpret blue prints and specifications

· Work at heights and in confined spaces

· Hand weld in all positions, fillet and groove

· Follow all safety rules and practices

· May be involved in safety committees or initiatives

· Perform other duties as assigned


What you’ll need:

· 1 year of industrial/mechanical or related work or educational experience

· No prior welding experience is required

· 100% Attendance for completion of training program

· Basic knowledge of hand tools and measuring instruments (i.e. tape measure)

· The ability to read and follow written instructions and procedures

· Outstanding interpersonal skills
