OTR/Local Commercial Truck Driver (CDL Required)

We are looking for an experienced over the road truck driver (2 years minimum) – local & long-distance deliveries utilizing Semi Tractor.

Passway Transports, LLC provides local and long-distance transportation of general freight for various companies. Headquarters are located in Houston, Texas.

Responsibilities
Manage freight hauling pickup and deliveries Over the Road (OTR) 7-10 days away from home
Manage freight hauling pickup and local deliveries
Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts
Input data into our automated system for each stage of the loading and unloading process
Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
Deliver freight on time and in excellent condition
Collect and verify delivery instructions
Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
1099 / random drug testing
Report defects, accidents or violations

Skills & Requirements
MUST HAVE VALID CDL A License
Must have a minimum of 6 months of verifiable Tractor Trailer Experience
Must live in the Greater Houston area
Proven work experience as an Over the Road (OTR)/ interstate truck driver
Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS & ELD)
Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly
Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
No recent moving or driving violations
Excellent communication and customer service skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc.)
Valid Driver License – Copy of MVR required (3 yrs)

License/Certification:
Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A

Compensation
Commission 25% of Loads, paid weekly
Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Commission
Pay Potential: $40,000.00 – $60,000.00 per year
