Job Title: Azure Sr. SME (N/W, Security and Automation)
Location: Frisco, TX 100 % Remote
Job Description :
Candidate should be strong in Azure Networking & Security with at least 4+
years hands on experience in them, along with experience in the other IAAS &
PAAS services. Automation and DevOps experience will be added advantage.
1. Responsibilities:
o Work as a senior hands on Engineer for Azure Foundation deployment and
migration
o Lead and implement Azure NSG/ASG, ASR, Security Policies
o Lead and guide all Azure native components ? Load balancers, Application
Gateway, Recovery Vaults, Azure backup etc.
o Implement HA/DR functionality using Azure native components ? AZ,
Availability Sets, PPG etc.
o Identify and recommend best practices for Cloud governance.
o Take accountability to ensure adherence with Security and Compliance
policies and procedures within service delivery scope.
Key Skills
o Azure IaaS (VM, Storage, Networking, Security)
o Automation (ARM)
o DevOps (Azure DevOps)
2. Qualifications:
o Minimum 5+ Hands on experience in Azure IAAS
o Deep knowledge and hands on experience in the Azure IaaS services (Virtual
network, NSGs, ExpressRoute, Application Gateway, Load balancers, API Gateways,
Recovery services vaults, VMs, Storage accounts, Azure Site recovery etc.)
o Experience in Azure High Availability (Availability sets, Availability
zones, Proximity Placement Groups) and DR solutions.
o Experience in Azure cost management using ACM, Cloudyn and other 3rd party
tools and recommending cost optimization steps.
o Experience in infrastructure automation; PowerShell and Azure APIs, ARM
template
o Good experience in creating Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines for setting up the
IaaS foundation.
3. Additional Skills and Experience required
o Experience in Linux and Windows OS will be an added advantage
4. Soft Skills
? Candidate should process excellent communication skills (Verbal and Written)
? Excellent documentation skill
? Good working knowledge of MS OFFICE (including MS PowerPoint and Visio)
? Should have great customer handling skills
? Able to handle unforeseen situations
? Excellent team player capabilities
? Can drive HCL?s value and its methodology
