Our client is recruiting a Microsoft BizTalk Developer in the UK. The company has offices in 11 countries and is expanding in the UK.


They are looking for individuals that would like to be part of their growing success and part of the expansion team in the UK.


The role is hybrid and possibly remote for the right candidates. Exceptional candidates are prepared to help with relocation and sponsorship.


As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for:


Designing, developing and supporting Enterprise BizTalk solutions and integration components

Developing technical designs for integration solutions

Working with a team of software developers to develop new applications and maintain existing applications.

Working with end users during system design to determine functionality needs.

Managing testing of application software to assure accuracy, integrity, and completeness to achieve desired results.

Planning development activities and monitors progress to completion.

Weighing up alternatives and determining the appropriate course of action. Communicating with users during program development to review progress and ensure that requirements have been met.

Developing functional and technical artefacts using use cases, user stories, requirements definitions, business process analysis, and user interface prototyping.

Evaluating design choices and recommending optimal design considering system limitations, project strategy, enterprise architecture constraints, performance, and scalability.

Participating in code reviews and sharing feedback and seeking opportunities to improve quality.

Estimating development efforts for feature delivery at both the high-level & detailed level.

Troubleshooting production issues quickly, identifying and addressing root causes, defining the solution and working with operations teams to get the resolutions deployed to production.

Actively contributing to the improvement, performance analysis, operations and monitoring of BizTalk applications and related frameworks, and tools.

Understanding business requirements and having excellent communication skills to be able to communicate technical solutions in business language.


Required skills:

3+ years of BizTalk development experience

Strong understanding of EAI, SOA, and ESB architecture

Solid understanding of enterprise integration patterns

Thorough understanding of BizTalk server architecture/concepts such as Adapters, Pipelines, Schemas, Maps, Orchestrations, Admin Console, Parties, Orchestration Debugger, and Business Rules Composer.

Extensively used FILE WCF-SQL EDI SharePoint Host Application and WCF Adapters.

I worked on most of the Advanced functions including Table Looping, Scripting XSLT, C Looping, Value mapping, Record Count, Mass Copy functions etc.

Extensively used ADO.NET objects like Dataset Data Adapter Data Reader Command Data Table and Data Relation objects.

Exceptional knowledge of development best practices and standards

Knowledge of unit testing and build processes

Familiar with agile development methodologies (Scrum, FDD, TDD)

Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills


Nice to have skills:

A Bachelors Degree in Computer Science

Integration experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM SDK, REST-based services, OData, Web API etc.

Experience with Microsoft Azure services (Application servers, Database Services).



Salary: Negotiable depending on experience and highly competitive
