The client is seeking an experienced HSE Director for a global pharmaceutical client in Rahway, NJ. As the NorAm HSE Director, you will help drive safety culture, develop HSE strategy, ensure training assignments to all team members on the account and deploy account, country, and client programs. Provide oversight and regional strategic leadership covering health, safety, risk management, and business.

Key Responsibilities:
Successful HSE client and regulatory audits across the region.
All sites to be always PIR (Permanent Inspection Ready).
Timely reporting and investigating health, safety & environmental-related incidents and audit findings.
All audit actions are to be managed to completion by agreed dates.
Added value to the business by implementing efficient, standardized systems and processes.
Good team player in an international environment, with an ability to be self-managed.
Continuous development of technical and business skills and knowledge.
Flexible to perform ad hoc assignments (special audit requests, due diligence, etc.).

Candidate should have a solid grounding and practical experience working in the pharmaceutical environment and facilities management areas. The candidate should also have a strong background in auditing.
Reporting: Ability to write persuasive and effective reports and communications clearly defining findings, their causes, and recommendations.
Analytical Skills: Must possess strong analytical skills. The ability to systematically gather information from various sources, analyze information, identify implications of data, draw appropriate conclusions, generate viable alternative solutions to a question or problem, and evaluate the consequences of choosing each alternative.
As this role interacts with senior client representatives and senior staff, excellent communication skills (verbal and written) are required, with an ability to recognize the values within different cultures and acknowledge different ways of working.
Health Safety and Environmental professional, ideally within facilities management.
Bachelor’s or advanced degree desired.
Minimum ten (10) years of Health, Safety, and Environmental experience with significant recent experience in a senior position.
CIH or CSP certifications are highly desired, not required.
Established knowledge of health, safety, and environmental laws and regulations.
Travel across the NorAm region is required for this role and is based out of offices in Rahway, NJ.
You will be required to have the COVID-19 vaccine to work at this location.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the Health & Safety segment support as Health & Safety Single Point of Contact (HS-SPOC), strategic planning, deployment, compliance, loss prevention & incident investigation, and training within the assigned Zone. Health & Safety includes all safety disciplines, such as environment, health and safety, food safety, and product quality assurance.
Qualifications:
Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
Basic Management Experience - 5 years
Basic Functional Experience - 5 years of related experience
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: (Submission Summary):
1. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
2. Minimum 10 years of Health, Safety, and Environmental experience with significant recent experience in a senior position.
3. Experience working in the pharmaceutical environment and facilities management areas.
4. The candidate should also have a strong background in auditing.
5. 5 years of Management Experience.
6. 5 years of Functional Experience.
7. You will be required to have the COVID-19 vaccine to work at this location.
8. CIH or CSP certifications are highly desired, not required.
9. Established knowledge of health, safety, and environmental laws and regulations. – a plus
