Tax Prep and Reviewers - Saint Louis

Saint Louis, MO/Chicago, IL/Kansas City, MO

Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder.

This is a 3 Month Contract - No C2C.

The client is seeking accountants to prepare and/or review tax returns during our busy season (February through April).

TAX OR ACCOUNTING BACKGROUND IS REQUIRED!

The responsibilities of a Tax Season Only Preparer/Reviewer in Tax Consulting include but are not limited to…

Prepare/Review income tax returns for our clients.
Strong organizational skills
Proficient in the use of various software programs required.

All hired individuals will receive training on how to prepare/review returns in our tax software / systems.

Ability to commit to set schedule/hours per week is highly desired (overtime likely). Day, evening and weekend hours are available.

Preferred Experience/Background/Skills

· Bachelor's degree in accounting or related degree

· CPA preferred

· At least 3 years of experience is preferred

· Prior public accounting experience is preferred

· Prior income tax preparation, including partnerships, corporations and individuals is preferred

· Reviewer level experience is preferred

· Strong technical skills including the ability to effectively utilize technology and the commitment to learning in a technology environment

· Excellent supervisory and leadership capabilities

· Energetic, enthusiastic and willingness to take initiative

· Ability to meet challenging client requirements and provide quality client service

· Utilize analytical and research abilities

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word and Excel required).

· Excellent interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills

· Strict adherence to professional ethics

· Ability to successfully contribute to the success of a strategic business unit of the firm

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: (Submission Summary):

1. A minimum of 3 years tax preparation experience.

2. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

3. CPA - preferred

4. Prior public accounting experience - preferred

5. Prior income tax preparation, including partnerships, corporations and individuals. - preferred

6. Reviewer level experience - preferred
