Full-time Associate Director, Client Services

The Position
The Associate Director, Client Services will work alongside the Managing Director, to drive the further growth, development and service delivery of the New Zealand office of the business.
This is a key position forming part of the senior management team. The role involves a combination of client relationship management and technical expertise, as well as staff leadership and development.

Responsibilities:

Provide a full scope of fiduciary services to a portfolio of international and domestic clients. Act as the primary point of contact for clients in the administration of trust
Drafting, or arranging the drafting, and reviewing of appropriate trust and corporate documentation (trust deeds, letters of wishes, resolutions etc).
Ensure that the internal client management information database and associated files for client entities are maintained correct and up to date.
Ensuring compliance with local AML/CFT, regulatory requirements and legislation including acting as first line of defence, carrying out periodic reviews, contributing to risk assessments and compliance programs, monitoring and updating trackers and acting as a champion of group, regulatory and local policies, procedures and regulations.
Financial management of client relationships, including invoicing and fee collection.
Participate in the development and implementation of strategic plans and programs.
Hold corporate office (ie. directorships) for both Group and client entities.
Undertake such other projects and duties as reasonably required by the Managing Director.

Skills & Experience:
Exceptional communication skills and multicultural sensitivity.
Ability to develop influential relationships with key business contacts. Exemplary integrity, ethics, independence and resilience.
High attention to detail and focus on accuracy.
Computer literate, with experience in using computer systems in client management and administration.
Professional qualification is essential – preferably in accounting, law, finance or trust related programmes (such as STEP).
Substantial experience (in excess of 10 years') in an equivalent fiduciary services business operating in a highly regulated environment.
Experience managing and developing a team.
In depth knowledge of trust law and trust administration practices and corporate administration services. Strong understanding of fiduciary risks, AML/CFT risks and data protection risks, and the mitigation thereof.
Strong commitment to exceptional client service.
Ability to work in a family owned, entrepreneurial business environment as distinct from an institutionally owned trust company.
