A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our client Visual Merchandising Team in a Field based position in Scotland.

Our client, Klass Ladies Wear was established in 1985 and has progressed to have over 150 stores including standalone stores and concessions throughout the UK and Republic of Ireland. They have a fantastic range of stylish and sophisticated yet affordable and coordinated ladies fashion.

They are currently seeking a talented Freelance Field Visual Merchandiser for Scotland working in up to 12 locations.

The successful applicant will have gained experience in fashion and have worked in a fast-paced environment. You will combine creative talent with excellent visual standards to drive the business forward. Working with planograms and floor guidelines is an essential part of your role whilst being confident in taking on challenges as they occur. This role will be based across Scotland so the successful applicant must have their own car and be flexible to travel. Some overnight stays may be required.

Key responsibilities of this role will include:

Ensure you achieve the required amount of store visits and report back to the Visual Manager and head office team after visits on challenges and progress.

Feedback to the merchandising team on slow sellers, great sellers, issues, and opportunities.

Form strong relationships with the Visual Manager, area managers, and store staff.

Be confident to challenge the retail environment and proactively suggest ideas and actions drive the in-store VM proposition and sales.

Maintaining an awareness of the key styles and product knowledge to create commercially successful store moves/plans.

Helping to coach and train management and staff teams on VM best practices and guidelines, ensuring that the business strategy is consistently delivered.

Using reports available to make sound decisions in line with the VM guidelines.

Maintaining an awareness of competitor activity and taking action in response as required/directed.

Maintaining and demonstrating a constant awareness of current trends and fashion.

Following and applying visual merchandising guidelines whilst being commercial and confident in taking on any challenges that occur.



The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate:

Previous experience in a similar role.

Good knowledge of current and emerging trends in fashion and visual merchandising.

Strong commercial awareness and knowledge of fashion retail to ensure all VM activities are focused on benefiting business performance.

Ability to forward plan, organisational and time management skills and to manage a demanding and varied workload.

Previous experience in delivering effective VM training to management and in-store teams.

A willingness to travel.



The role is approximately 2 to 3 days a month on average, rating £150 a day plus mileage. Store visits will be required for the following areas: Glasgow, Livingston. Falkirk and Brechin. Store visit dates can be flexible.
