Full-time Staff Test Engineer - Wafer/ATE

Are you a Wafer Test Specialist? Do you like technical challenges, having an Impact on innovation, collaborating with like minds, and using cutting-edge technology? Then we want to talk to you. We are seeking to add 2 Wafer Staff Test Engineers to the highly skilled Engineering team.
As Staff Test Engineer, you will be testing at the wafer level and be part of quality control.

You will know programming languages like Visual Basic, C++ and develop production test programs and testing hardware for leading-edge, mixed-signal products using Automatic Test Equipment (ATE). You should have 5-10 years hands-on experience in writing and debugging production test programs and know how to use programming language to write tests, proficient with test methodology concepts, multi-site testing and test hardware development and experience supporting high volume production testing.

We are transitioning to a new in-house testing system with Teradyne, Chroma and SPEA equipment. You will also use the EAG Testing facilities in Santa Clara. This is a highly-visible, critical role interfacing with operations, test hardware manufacturers and third-party subcontractors. Job Responsibilities:
• Develop, debug and deployment of wafer sort and final test production test programs for mix-signal magnetic sensor products on ATE platforms.
• Design and develop multi-site probe cards and final test hardware with active components on-board to ensure device testability.
• Engage with test hardware manufacturers, review, and approve engineering and production test hardware schematics and board layouts.
• Collaborate with third-party subcontractors on test hardware and test program development.
• Perform test time reduction, yield improvement and cost reduction activities.
• Recommend changes required on testing equipment’s, test procedures or test methodologies to improve test quality and reduce test cost.
• Yield improvement and test time reduction activities to improve testing quality
• Perform statistical analysis of yield data, debug failures and lot dispositioning.
• Require some travel and/or remote support during new product release and sustaining it.

Qualifications & Skills:
• 5-10 years of experience of wafer testing
• Prior Test Program development experience on any of the following ATE platforms: Teradyne, Chroma 3650, Eagle ETS 364, NextTest Magnum, KYEC E320/I1000, ASL 1000 or SPEA DOT 400/800.
• Experience in developing ATE test programs using languages such as Visual Basic, C/C++.
• Excellent analytical and hands-on debugging skills and the ability to proactively solve issues.
• Experience using lab equipment’s such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, signal generators and power supplies.
• Experience with semiconductor characterization equipment (SMUs, capacitance meters, switch matrices, network analyzers, wafer probers, etc.); statistical analysis methods using software tools such as JMP, MATLAB, and EXCEL; and interacting with and configuring SQL databases
• Verification of vectors on both Wafer Level and Final Package level
• •Candidate should be able to interpret basic device data and correlate experimental results with device performance and behavior
• Knowledge of software tools used for modeling, analysis, and data collection (MATLAB, JMP) in the Microsoft Windows operating systems
• Knowledge of serial interfaces such as I2C, SPI, GPIB protocols.
• Experience developing ATE test programs and hardware for magnetic sensors, image sensors, motion sensors or any physical sensors will be a plus.
• Knowledge of statistical data analysis (Six Sigma, Minitab, JMP, Spotfire, etc.), quality and reliability testing.
• Knowledge of semiconductor fundamentals, CMOS circuits and test methodologies.
• Must be able to work safely in laboratory settings including device testing and Class 10 clean room facilities
• Good verbal and written skills to work with a large cross section of personnel
• U.S. citizenship is required

Education:
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering, physics, computer science, computer engineering or in a relevant discipline.

Compensation:
Base Salary 130-160K Depending on Experience, Annual Bonus, Stock Options, great Benefits, PTO, perks like free gym access at the McCarthy Business Park where the offices are located in Milpitas, CA.
