Full-time AWS CLOUD ENGINEERING MANAGER

As a Cloud Engineering Manager, primary responsibility is to oversee and manage the technical aspects of projects, operations, and teams utilizing Cloud (AWS/Azure) infrastructure and services. This role involves a combination of technical expertise, leadership, and project management skills.

1. Technical Leadership: You will provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of engineers, architects, and administrators working on Cloud Migration projects. You should have a deep understanding of Cloud services, architecture, and best practices to effectively guide the team and ensure successful project delivery.
2. Project Management: You will be responsible for managing AWS projects from initiation to completion. This includes defining project scope, creating project plans, allocating resources, tracking progress, managing timelines, and ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
3. Team Management: You will manage and mentor a team of technical professionals, fostering their growth, and providing guidance and support. This involves setting performance goals, conducting regular performance reviews, providing feedback, and identifying opportunities for training and development.
4. Technical Solutioning: You will work closely with stakeholders, such as business leaders, architects, and developers, to understand their requirements and design technical solutions using AWS services. You will ensure that solutions align with best practices, security standards, scalability, and cost optimization principles.
5. Cloud Infrastructure Management: You will oversee the provisioning, configuration, and management of AWS infrastructure and services. This includes managing cloud resources, optimizing performance, monitoring system health, and implementing security measures to ensure high availability and reliability.
6. Collaboration and Communication: You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, system administrators, security teams, and other stakeholders, to drive effective communication and coordination. You should have excellent communication skills to clearly convey technical concepts and project updates to both technical and non-technical audiences.
7. Continuous Improvement: You will stay up-to-date with the latest Cloud services, industry trends, and best practices. You will identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and optimization to enhance operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Strong experience in designing, deploying, and managing Cloud infrastructure and services.
- In-depth knowledge of Architecture, services, and best practices.
- Project management experience, including planning, execution, and delivery of projects.
- Leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and guide technical professionals.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Understanding of security best practices and experience implementing them in Cloud environments.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for automation and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
- Relevant certifications, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Developer, or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, are highly desirable.
