Pay Rate:
The pay rate for this job is $26 - $30 / hour
What you'll be doing as a Maintenance Mechanic:

• Performs preventative maintenance on machines and equipment; maintenance and repair of the facility.
• Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
• Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.
• Read blueprint drawings, job orders, tooling instructions, or standard charts to determine specification procedures.
• Strong skills in mechanical, electrical, electronic, DC drives and hydraulics.
• Meet plant objectives in safety, quality, cost and customer care.
• Experience and understanding of machine controls.
• Sets up and changes over production lines according to production and quality standards
• Selects, installs and checks the performance of pins, dies, calibration, coilers, cutters and various other production equipment
• Actively troubleshoots all production lines for potential quality or production issues
• In between changeovers, actively reviews all production lines for optimal quality and performance
• Uses measuring devices such as calipers, tape measure and pin gauges
• Ensures that all raw materials meet BOM requirements
• Compares machine parameters against documented requirements
• Follows all setup procedures and maintains setup documentation
• Inspects products and ensures conformance to specifications
• Communicates with Extrusion Supervisor, Leads, Operators, and Maintenance Personnel regarding production issues and requirements
• Trains operators, leads, supervisors and other technicians on technical issues regarding production
• Identifies factors which may affect product quality or production and communicates them with Supervisors
• Follows all safety regulations
• Maintains team concept and safe working environment
• Other duties as assigned

Job requirements:

• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the Essential Duties and Responsibilities listed above and be able to perform the Physical Requirements listed below. • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and meet deadlines, and stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to contribute to continuous improvement techniques to improve output, quality, cost and delivery to avoid the rejection and maintain the quality at production.
• Good discipline and cooperation with others.
• Possess strong communication and interpersonal skill with attention to detail.
• Self motivated, positive attitude, punctual good work ethic and flexibility to work overtime.
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must be able to pass Tier 1 & 3 background test
• Must be able to pass drug test

Safety / PPE Requirements:

• Must complete training as specified by the Company.
• Safety glasses must be worn at all times in all manufacturing, production, and factory areas. Hearing and vision protection, or other PPE, may be required when performing certain job functions.
• Employee must utilize mechanical aids (or assistance of a co-worker) to lift and/or move objects over 75 pounds.

Education and/or Experience:

• Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
• five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with the plastic extrusion process is preferred.

Language Skills:

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information to other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills:

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability:

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
