The ideal candidate would have hands-on software development, architecture & design, requiring a balance of business process and product-centric technical expertise and the ability to navigate complex solutions with multiple platforms, systems, and teams.
Key Responsibilities
• Define and drive the end-to-end customer-oriented technical solution architecture and design for enterprise enablement in partnership with various domain/ system/ application architects
• Define and guide strategic and transitional architecture solutions aligned to the business outcomes of the various service and product offerings
• Partner with experience architects to define, update, and re-imagine touchpoints across the impacted customer journey
• Partner with process architects on identifying and improving the various processes that are tied to the go-to-market value chains and customer journeys
• Partner with the service product managers, go-to-market teams, customer, sales support teams and solution managers to ensure a robust architectural runway that can support future business requirements throughout the offering lifecycle
• Identify and resolve technical pain points across the go-to-market value chains of the key business functions within HPWS
• Identify and leverage opportunities for emerging technologies and fundamentally different and efficient solutions of go-to-market capabilities
• Collaborate extensively with HPWS business, Business Technology, Sales Operations, and various product teams to define solutions that drive the overall business outcomes
• Provide technical guidance and support to solution delivery teams throughout the initiative lifecycle around design, platforms, emerging technologies, etc.
• Ensure standards and best practices are being followed as part of the design solutions
• Responsible for multiple projects/programs architecture and design deliverables
• Collaborates with the project manager to develop detailed project plans and work breakdown structures for large enterprise or global level projects.
• Assess the technical impact of multiple technologies/strategies
• Identify and address technical or operational risks
Education, Experience, Skills and Knowledge Required
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience. 10-12 years of software design and development experience. Prefer, advanced university degree (e.g., MS, MBA) or demonstrable equivalent.
• Usually possesses a valid industry certification in an appropriate architectural discipline
• Experience in designing, implementing, and deploying scalable and performant web applications at regional/global scale
• Experience in solutioning complex and challenging business requirements and digitizing complex end-to-end business flows and processes
• Experience and/or exposure to process mapping and reengineering activities
• Experience and proficiency in waterfall and agile development methodologies
• Experience and proficiency in program and design tools and applications
• Ability to understand the customer's business problem, need, or opportunity and to design a solution that completely and correctly addresses the business problem, need, or opportunity without unnecessary enhancements
• Ability to perform business process analysis/synthesis using modeling or simulation tools and techniques, such as workflows and diagrams to show interrelationships of multiple processes, tracking instances/characteristics of process elements
• Ability to lead the architectural design, development, deployment, and technical quality of large enterprise or global solutions that span multiple technologies and disciplines
• Be able to provide architectural direction for multiple projects/programs concurrently in various stages of their lifecycle
• Ability to maintain the integrity of the proposed architecture to assure professional quality and logical consistency in the face of political and business pressures
• Able to design planning for accessibility, scalability, and availability
• Ability to write Design documents and Statements of Work for architecture/design work
• Be able to evaluate the effect of external factors on designed solution
• Relates risks and challenges the customer should expect to encounter with the solution
• Ability to apply program/project management methods and processes to define, plan, cost, resource, track and ensure the accomplishment of targeted goals for projects
• Ability to lead a team. Supports Solution and Delivery Managers in solutions, designing and delivering the project/programs. For architectures of project scope may include the technical management of staff assigned to the implementation team
• Conversant with and able to apply multiple architectural, development, and operational methodologies (e.g., Zachman, TOGAF, ITSM). Understands and applies one or more industry-acknowledged architectural modeling methods and tools
• Broad knowledge of IT and business standards and best practices and how to apply them appropriately in solutions. Has a pulse on future technology or operational trends as they relate to and support customers.
• Expert or Master level of knowledge of multiple technologies or IT disciplines
• Good business acumen, strategic mindset, and effective interpersonal skills
• Highly motivated and thrive in an environment where problems are open-ended
• Ability to prepare clear, concise, and persuasive communications for multiple level of audiences including executives, demonstrating effective writing and presentation skills, listening actively, and projecting a credible image
• Excellent speaking and writing skills with proven capability
